Dear Leon and to all gals/guys out there,

I am planning to apply for renewal of my expired PR card but the problem is I did not meet the required residency requirements.
I was in Canada when I got a job offer to work in the Middle East. Being new in Canada and with two kids in college back home, I took the offer. My kids have finished their college degrees and with work experiences now. The plan is to sponsor my family to Canada and settle there permanently.
My PR card is expiring at the end of this month but I have miscalculated the number of days required to get my final settlement with my present employer. They told me that I will received all the monies due to me on the first week of September.
Is there a chance I will be given a renewed PR card?
Kindly let me know or share your stories if the same happened to you. It would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I see form your prior posts that we had this discussion in May already where you were advised that if you got into Canada without a problem, you should not try to renew your PR card for 2 years.

You do not say if you are currently in Canada or not. If you are not and you want a chance to keep your PR you should go now because once your PR card expires, it will be a lot harder for you to get in without getting reported for not meeting the requirements.

Regards,
CHC won't issue a TRV because you are still technically a PR. You would have to apply for a Travel Document, probably refused. Then you have a choice either to appeal the refusal or not. If you don't then you are no longer a PR and would then be able to apply for a TRV. Unlikely that it would be issued though.
