Renew Visa Documetns

Hello,

My parents' visa got expired and they want to renew it to visit me (PR). I tried to look on the website the documents required but I seems to not be able to find it...

Can someone please give me a link/list of the required documents? That'd be really helpful.

If it's applicable, you can also have them call or visit the local VFS to ask. The CIC VO in my country has a special program to waive most document requirements for those who have visited Canada in the last 10 years for those reapplying for a TRV. I didn't know about it until I visited VFS to submit my passport, it wasn't on the embassy or VFS's website. I figure it's only applicable to paper applications though.

I am from Singapore and my tourist VISA is expiring in July 2016. I plan to visit CA again in Sep 2016. Do I need to apply for a new tourist visa or I can just renew?

There is technically no difference between a "renewal" or applying for a new visa, but having been issued a TRV in the past certainly helps your new TRV application.

There is no "renew" process. You have to apply for a new one.

I used the tools and its not really helpful. It just guides me back to say that I have to apply for a new visa. I would like to know what documents they need so I can prepare for them. So far I know that they need a letter of invitation from a person who lives here.

The tool generates the list of documents. Please complete all the steps (seems you are stopping in the middle of the questionnaire).

She'd have to link it first to a MyCIC account to continue the application and see the checklist.
