renew TRV

hi all
i m international student in canada i have single entry visa i need to go to my home for 15 days or more my visa is till 30 aug 2008 i m on study permit i applied for post grad work permit also can i leave now and re-enter again to canada without any problem or i get to renew my TRV before i leave .how long it will take to renew my TRV?please reply now

You need a new TRV, you can apply to Buffalo, see their processing times.

Yea I agree with PMM. I guess you can apply at Seattle too. With study permit or post graduation work permit you can not re enter Canada once you are out. You need TRV. I will recommend you apply for TRV along with the post graduation work permit or with the study permit you have now (if it has some valid months). Study permit/work permit will definitely enhance the TRV application process. I applied at Seattle. Everything was done through postal mails. I guess it took 1 month to get my passport back with visa.

If your time do not permit, I will recommend you take your post graduation work permit with you. And apply for TRV in your home country.
