Renew SIN's expiry date online processing time ?

Hi everyone,

I just got my PGWP this January and needed to extend my SIN's expiry date. I applied via the government website (Social Insurance Number Application (SIN) - Government of Canada ) under "Change of the Expiry Date (900 series SIN)".

My question is if anyone has the same situation as me and applied online as well, how long did it take to receive the confirmation from Service Canada?

I agree with this. Set up an appointment with Service Canada and do it in person. It's much faster.
