renew my Canadian visa

Hi all,
I am an international student pursuing my masters program in Canada. My passport along with my Canadian visa is about to expire by may 2018. I am unsure as to how I might be able to renew my Canadian visa once I renew my passport. will someone be able to guide me?

Thanks for getting back to me. At the moment, I will be graduating in April 2018. I will be applying for postgraduate work permit soon after. my visa expires in May 2018. Would you by chance know which visa type I will be required to apply at the time? Will it be the same student visa or will it be some kind of work visa?

You just apply for a TRV. There is no specific type.

Will it be ok for me to apply for the Temporary Resident Visa before I graduate and get my postgraduate work permit? I was thinking that there might be some benefits to applying for the Temporary Resident Visa after I graduate and get my postgraduate work permit. Also, is there any specific requirements for applying for the Temporary Resident Visa where I am required to take up any specific tests or submit any documents? I tried researching online, unfortunately, I was not able to get any solid answer. Thanks.

You can apply for the TRV whenever you want. There are no specific requirements, just what is stated in the application.
