Renew Indian passport in Canada?

Hi guys,

I'm an international student doing my Masters in Ontario (finishing in April 2015), my passport expires in 9-10 months (Sept 2015) and I want to renew it ASAP as the Masters Ontario Pilot Program for PR requires passport to have atleast 2 years validity. My question is: Can I renew it from here itself or do I need to go back to India to renew it?

u can visit ur nearest indian embassy... they wud help u out about it and wud suggest u the steps u shud take on this regard...
