Renew Indian passport from Canada? (Int/l student)

Hi guys,

I'm an international student doing my Masters in Ontario (finishing in April 2015), my passport and study visa expire in 9-10 months (Sept 2015) and I want to renew the passport ASAP as the Masters Ontario Pilot Program for PR requires passport to have atleast 2 years validity. My question is: Can I renew it from here itself or do I need to go back to India to renew it?

U don't need to go back to India. You can renew your passport here in Canada. Search for BLS Ontario and follow the instruction to submit an application. It take 4-6 weeks to get new passport

Are you 100% sure brother? Even if I am international student and not a Canadian resident?

Japy77 is right, you will be able to apply for your new passport from within Canada.

Check this site, call them if you have any query. Do it ASAP, don't wait till last min.
