Hi,

I'm going to be pursuing my masters in Canada. Currently i'm working as a Database Administrator for an year now in a small scale startup, I have discussed with them that they are ready to provide any letters that might be required for an FSW entry. They are also ready to offer me a remote job that I can work from Canada if I can maintain the quality.

Now my question is, if I supposedly work full time remotely from Canada, will it count towards FSW? Cuz currently I can only put 1 yr of continous work. Do they need to issue some special letter for it? Or do I need to mention this to the canadian authorities? Thanks.

Yes. If you work full time outside of Canada, your experience count. The only scenario you can't claim the work experience is when you hold Canada study permit and you are working in Canada as the study permit clearly states that working full time is forbidden.

Thank you. Does my employer need to mention that the role was done remotely in the experience letter or just a normal one would suffice?
