Hi everyone,

I just got me IELTS score yesterday, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5 and 6.5 (LRS and W).

I need 7 in Writing, a 0.5 increase. What are my chances? and should I go for it?
As there is a 2 band difference between Speaking and Writing so chances are slim as your result must have been evaluated again. But still worth giving a try.

Hi all,

I got my IELTS results on July 14, 8.5, 8.5, 8.5, and 6.5(W).

I applied for EOR on July 16(paid) and received message that my request is on and should be done in 28days.

July 22, i got message on registered number that they require my passport for verification and to send it to their email.

What does this mean? Passport verification ? has any one got this before?

Yes, go for it. Even I have applied for EOR, hoping my W score gets increased to 7 from 6.5.

Considering your bands in other components, you should consider applying for EoR. However, you must have scored 7 band earlier in writing or should be too confident with what you've written in the exam. I've also applied for EoR as I have scored 6.5 in speaking but earlier I've achieved 7 band in speaking recently. Best of luck, do share your experience....
Giving exam again at times makes no sense if you're very close to your desired score.

I always advise people to go for EOR if they have 6.5 in writing. It’s a 50/50 chance of getting an upgrade. Goodluck
