Hi All

I wrote my IELTS second time this August. My IELTS score is as follow.
L:8.5
R:9
S:7
W:7

My CRS Score is 430 and I missed 20 sept cutoff by just 3 marks.First time When I wrote IELTS I had speaking score of 7.5.Second time,I was pretty sure that I will get close to 8 as speaking went really good. But I was little bit disappointed with 7 score.

Question:My Profile is in EE pool.I still have two weeks window before Enquiry on Result closes. But I have been led to believe that legally I cannot use this score in Express entry during dispute.
Should I go for recheck?
Can score decrease as well during remarks??

Complete the form below and forward it with your original Test Report Form, photocopy of passport (front & back page) and payment to the IELTS Administrator at your test centre. What does this mean.Do I need to go to my test center??

Just imagine, the CRS comes down to 430 but you are unable to use your IELTS score because you've applied EOR, and when you get your EOR outcome (even successful) the CRS goes up...how disappointing it would be.

Your CRS is very close to the last cut-off, so I don't think you should choose this way. For you, there are very high chances of getting ITA in the very next or after that draw.

Thanks for your answer.Do you also think, that cutoff might comedown a little bit more.?

I guess you should go for rechecking. If your score increases, it will become unbeatable in coming draws. Rest hope for the best, its the critical decision at the end you have to make considering all the probabilities.

So u missed your writing by 0.5 event though you got 7 in second attempt.I have decided not to apply for remarks.Volatility in CRS is making me to stick with this and hope for best.I wish you best and hope your score improves.BTW what is ur CRS as of now?

Hi.
I’m thoroughly disappointed today with my IELTS writing score. I was elated when I saw an overall score of 8, with L/R/S 9/8.5/7. But, as it has happened to many, my writing shot me down with a mere 6.5.
I’ll be opting for a revaluation. Any chance of my writing score to go up by .5 to a 7? I need it real bad to get my crs up to a 455 from my current 398!!! Please advice :(

Go for it,that is my advice.Chances are pretty rare though.Since you have more than 2 points difference between your two sections,it automatically goes for recheck. But In mean time, start preparing for IELTS

Can you tell me did your writing score changed or increased after remarking? How many days it took for the new result?

If you want to improve your score , You should get CLB 10 in your IELTS. But it will be very difficult to get 0.5 increase to both writing and speaking after remarking. My suggestion is wait for some time to lower the CRS .
