Relocation time after receiving a job offer

Hi there,


This morning I send a cover-letter and resume to a BC-employer.
I just received a reponse and question from the employer about how long it will take me to relocate to Canada, should they offer me the position and what kind of time commitment I would make.
Any suggestions about what's a realistic period of time?

The LMIA/work permit process has been explained to you in detail in your other threads, so I'm not sure how you think you qualify for a work permit.

As far as I know, someone qualifies for a Work-Permit, if there's a job-offer, with a LMIA...

You haven't mentioned anything about an LMIA. Does the employer already have one?

No, I'm speaking in an 'as if'-situation. Sorry, I thought that this was clear..!

If the employer has to apply for LMIA, it will take at least 4-6 months as they have to advertise the job and prove no other canadian can do the job. Is it a specialized position?
