I think the best would be discuss the topic with someone having knowledge of Islam.
I am Muslim and following are our practices specific to your case.
Men can divorce anytime whether wanted by a wife or not, similarly women demand separation (initially - to confirm that wife is not pregnant usually 3 months) and then file for divorce whether wanted by man or not. However, reconciliation is recommended and divorce instrument needs to apply only when two sides cannot reconcile. There are certain rights that a man has to fulfill if he commensurate from marriage and/or wife is pregnant or both are having kids from marriage.
Thus for you ---- go to court, or same institute from where you got the certificate of marriage....they would definitely insist, in fact force you, on reconciliation but you should tell them confidently that "you can't live with that woman"...that is all. Once court see that you are confident than they'll process your divorce...it may be lengthy due to their satisfaction that wife is not pregnant and determination of your obligations towards your departing wife. To be honest woman is far more protected and have too many rights than man.
Things will get complicated if you keep saying it was "religious marriage" or "marriage for benefit" or "marriage due to some force", marriage w/o love" or etc.
