What do you mean by "released". If a live-in caregiver wishes to quit their job, they should look at their written employment contract (which was approved by HRSDC when their employer obtained the LMO). It will tell them how much advance notice they must give their employer. Then all they need to do is give their employer that much advance notice. If it is 2 weeks, for example, you just say to your employer, "I am resigning my employment. Effective 2 weeks from today, I will be leaving. Until then, I will work my regular hours."
