Hi, some just printed out a screen shot of their inbox/oitbox to show the emails sent/ received . But ifu wanna print the emails out, but u feel some parts of the it are too private, but some parts are just fine, u can black them out with a sharpie, (maybe u can indicate why u blacked them out too ) ;pTorvickie said:Some of our emails to each other are quite explicit.
Can I redact those parts, or does CIC need to see it all?
:-X
I wouldn't recommend blocking some parts of the e-mail with a sharpie or a wipe-out. Just print out the inbox screen if you don't feel comfortable with email's actual content. I myself didn't include emails where I didn't feel ok showing it to somebody esle. It's just too private and I didn't want somebody else to read it, especially have it on file in the consulate.pelipeli said:Hi, some just printed out a screen shot of their inbox/oitbox to show the emails sent/ received . Zouk Princesse said:Actually quite a few people recommend blacking out private things with a sharpie. It's completely understandable that a couple would say private things to each other and CIC understands that. If the email contains things you think would be important in proving the strength of your email and there's a couple "for your eyes only" lines in there, it's worth blacking them out to include the email and mention in your cover letter that some private exchanges have been blacked out for that reason.
