So for each application there are basically 3 sections..Sponsor application, Person being sponsored application, and Relationship Proof. It says after the sponsors application & the person being sponsored application to include proof of relationship and provide any extra details to prove the relationship is genuine. To make things easier I was thinking about just attaching a sheet at the end of both of our applications saying "please refer to the "Relationship proof" folder for more details. Or is it necessary to include proof along with each of our applications? I was just thinking that I don't want to have to duplicate some things.

Well, your applications get processed separately, so I would advise providing the proof twice. Just print out 2 copies of every piece of evidence, and attach to each.

We didn't duplicate anything. We sent only one set of pictures and documents and were not asked to send in again a second set of them.

Usually the part where they look if the relationship is genuine is when they process the permanent residency application (second stage). In the first stage they check if the sponsor meets the legal requirements, not if the relationship is genuine.

As Betina said, no need to duplicate any of your proofs.

Agreed....we did the same.

Ahh then. Sounds like others were fine without the double dose! Go with their advice :)

I am considering putting all the relation proof under one Appendix under Sponsored person supporting documents, along with photocopies of passports, other travel documents, med check, etc. Is it OK? I just followed the order of the checklist. Or should I simply attach additonal sheets to answer IMM5490 and put all the relationship proof in an complete other folder our of Sponsored person supporting documents? I am guessing, with all the ppictures and all, it should be at least 150 pages for proof of relationship

What I did is to attached additional sheets to answer IMM5490 , eg, to answer the relationship developmnet question, I attached sheets with pictures. But I also have another separate folder containing other relationship proof , eg letters between us, receipts of hotel we stayed in our trip ...I didn't have too many pages of papers, i guess , including the forms with all the additional sheets, I submitted less than 200 pages. if you want to do more, just go ahead.

Is is a good idea to submit more supporting Documents to CIC even if they did not ask.
Like new apartment lease and new Insurance policy ?
