Has any one got rejected due to Birth Certificate issued by Indian Embassy in Toronto or got their application returned.
if so after how many days application was rejected, Please do clarify if it was rejection or their application was sent back as incomplete.

Regards

They accepted my application, I submitted with the birth certificate which provided Indian Embassy in Toronto.

I got to know of a case of our fellow friend who applied after me and his application was returned as incomplete yesterday and fees was not charged.

I am still in a fix, may be CIC rejects mine after sometime, my fees has been charged and I got to know file is sent to Ottawa

Regards

hi sapgms
Along with birth cerficate provided by indian embassy did u attach any additional supporting docs to justify ur DOB?
Even I am in the same boat, please help me

I've seen this question on the forum a lot and I'm wondering why the embassy provides birth certificates? What happened to the one that would have been issued at the time of birth?

hi senoritabella
I am from India and in general birth certificates were not issued commonly on those days. In our country SSLC, HSC certificates are accepted as proof of DOB.

I agree with braveman.
I have a birth certificate, but it was issued with a wrong name. My wife's is issued without a name! The birth certificate was hardly used and the Xth or XIIth grade marksheets carrying date of birth was the valid record those days.

Will including a birth certificate with wrong name on the application be problematic? (not sure if I can get ti corrected)

Would including the following work?
- The Date of Birth certificate from consulate
- Copy of passport showing DOB
- Copy of drivers license (India) showing DOB
- Copy of Xth grade marklist shoing DOB
- Explanation on why the above would stand in place of Birth Certificate
