I got to know of a case of our fellow friend who applied after me and his application was returned as incomplete yesterday and fees was not charged.

I am still in a fix, may be CIC rejects mine after sometime, my fees has been charged and I got to know file is sent to Ottawa

Regards

I've seen this question on the forum a lot and I'm wondering why the embassy provides birth certificates? What happened to the one that would have been issued at the time of birth?

hi senoritabella
I am from India and in general birth certificates were not issued commonly on those days. In our country SSLC, HSC certificates are accepted as proof of DOB.

I agree with braveman.
I have a birth certificate, but it was issued with a wrong name. My wife's is issued without a name! The birth certificate was hardly used and the Xth or XIIth grade marksheets carrying date of birth was the valid record those days.

Will including a birth certificate with wrong name on the application be problematic? (not sure if I can get ti corrected)

Would including the following work?
- The Date of Birth certificate from consulate
- Copy of passport showing DOB
- Copy of drivers license (India) showing DOB
- Copy of Xth grade marklist shoing DOB
- Explanation on why the above would stand in place of Birth Certificate
