Rejection because of not providing Graduation Certificate?

I just uploaded all my documents yesterday and paid the visa fee. But after uploading the materials some people told me I should've uploaded Graduation Certificate too. But there is a problem, my graduation certificate is not going to be available for at least next 2 months. What should I do? Would they really reject my application just because of not having graduation certificate?

P.S. My admission to the Canadian university I am attending is unconditional.
P.S. Due to local rule in Iran, we cannot access our Graduation Certificate after graduation for 1 year. Mine will be available after two months. and waiting two months was not an option sadly.

No, Your visa won`t be rejected on just not providing Graduation Certificate however you should have mentioned in the SOP that why your graduation certificate won`t be available.

Thank you so much for answering me. Hearing that is kind of relief.

I do realize not mentioning the cause of absence of graduation certificates would be red flag. But I have to mention visa officers in Ankara are totally familiar with problems we have as students in Iran to access our graduation certificate.

Do you think I should complete a webform and explain the situation? Or I should just wait and they would ask for an answer? What is the best move for me?


I am only afraid of outright rejection. I am totally okay to explain the situation or provide temporary unofficial version. I hope they don’t reject it before asking or giving me time.


P.S. I have to add any other aspect of my application is totally acceptable, if not great.

I don’t think they will reject it before confirmation
If your Visa officer wants more information there will be a message posted on your cic account.
