Rejection again !!!

so let start with this how does these people judge us ??

i applied for study permit to Canada ontario seneca college, i have enough money to cover everything and i have all the necessary paper ready medical, bank, college approval and payment full for the 1st semester.. so i got rejected the 1st time because may i didn't send that i paid for the university

i applied the second time by sending everything i have in pdf file and i wrote an explanation letter for them that i wasn't able to upload all the files the 1st time since i was only 1 file to upload but the second time i converted everythin to 1 pdf and i upload.


1st time refusal reasons were:
1- purpose of visit
2- employment prospects in country of residence
3- personal assets and financial status.


2nd time refusal reason was:
1- purpose of visit


for real guys PURPOSE OF VISIT and study permit and paid full for college and student accepted in College
could somebody please explain to me how could i fix this and let them see the obvious purpose of visit.

Hi Ziad,

I am not sure what is the main reason of the rejection. But I have a feeling that it is something wrong with how you are submitting your application... since your case is a bit complicated and needs guidance how to fill up the application correctly.

Did you submit your applications online, both of them? or through the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon?

i'm pretty sure i submitted all the required documents my only concern or doubt was the Citizenship issue im the application because my passport says I'm Palestinian but knowing that i'm not from Gaza or west bank so that's why i thought maybe i was suppose to put it as stateless

and i applied both applications online yes. the same day the send me the rejection for the 1st i applied the 2nd time and gave my biometrics the next day.

as i said the reasons of refusal went down from 3 to 1 but this only 1 reason i can't get it how do they ask about purpose of visit and they already know i heading there to study !!

and they don't even schedule an interview to ask you anything instead they just simply reject and ask you to pay again if you still want to apply !!!

is it fair for us to be treated this way ??

i have a BA in business administration and i have a nearly 12 years of work experience in hotels and restaurants "hospitality management" and i am applying for seneca college for Hotel & Restaurant service management diploma because i need to backup my work experience with proper education in order to boost my career forward and get better work opportunities that's my goal i was planning for MA study but then i said that i should start from ground zero by diploma to get all the basics that i need 1st.

Usually they ask you about the country of residence, did you specify that you live in Lebanon? If you did, I guess your application would be processed in Ankara like the rest of the Lebanese. I am just trying to figure out where the rejections are coming from!

The problem is after having a first degree in BA and you are going for a diploma,it is difficult to get visa with that..that is why the Vo said purpose of visit..look for a higher program like pg or master, or better still apply for a gcms note

i am going for diploma because it has all the things that i need to learn plus it affordable to me.

master studies related to my domain is not practical it's just about giving the managerial skills i need to finish the practical part 1st

plus i finished my BA 5 years ago..

As Emanuel stated above... You have to aim for a higher degree if you want to get the student permit. You mentioned that you had a BA, so you need to aim for a Masters degree or PhD. If not, then you need to state that in an SOP. SOP is Statement of Purpose which is submitted as an optional document in your online application. You state why the diploma is beneficial for your future work and success and what it could add to your previous education and experience.

I also recommend that you apply paper based this time through Beirut VFS office... Take an appointment over the phone... Take all your documents with you and an agent would verify if everything is in order and if the application is filled up correctly.

They are in Hamra, Concord building 5th or 7th floor cannot remember. But it is the place where you provided your biometrics. All the luck

That's the problem. Going from a BA to an UG diploma in an unrelated field is probably what led to your rejection. Purpose of visit means, they're unsure whether your sole purpose is to study (because you already have 12 years of work experience in hotels, why do you want to study for a diploma after all those years?). I know it's very upsetting, and I'm sure you're a genuine student but CIC are very strict in issuing student visas, especially if you're applying to a lower level of study.
If you want to reapply, you really need an SOP. An SOP is a 1-page (or more) letter answering the following questions:

1. Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
2. What is your overall educational goal?
3. Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence or of
citizenship?
4. What research have you done into studies in your country of residence or of citizenship?
5. How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of
residence or of citizenship?
6. What ties do you have to your country of residence or of citizenship?
7. In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for studying in Canada? What is
your parents’ or guardians’ immigration status in their current country of residence?
8. Provide details of your education history – dates when the course started and ended, the
name and address of the school, the course taken, qualification, degree or certificate
awarded for the course.

An SOP is very important, especially in your case where you're applying to a new program which is unrelated to your BA.

You can also go for post graduate diploma or certificate/master/phd all is good.

yeah they are on the 7th floor i went there twice last week for biometrics 1 for the 1st rejection and 1 for the 2nd. if i went there again i'll be listed as a regular customer i guess.

do you really think that there's could be a chance after i got rejected twice online, and i read that paper application takes too long in term of processing.

i still have 5 weeks before the classes starts... is there's a way that i can talk to anybody in Ankara - Embassy of Canada or that would be useless i mean seriously that would be like $600 just for application and they might reject me the 3rd time also without me getting the proper explanation from them what do they need from me to satisfy them about my "purpose of visit" which is educational.
