Salamz everyone!!...I applied for engineering management programe of uni of Ottawa (winter 2013) , visa filed on 27th Sept and medical call on 16th Oct. Medical has been done and sent to embassy. Passport will be sent by 22nd oct'12 inshALLAH

My questions are:

Is Canadian embassy is offering medical to every candidate nowadays or short listed candidates?
What are the chances of rejection after medical?

Please reply

Salam,

Good luck for the visa brother. I have never heard of ANY rejections after the medical exams UNLESS there is something SERIOUSLY wrong in the medical report!

Regards.

It is a mystery. My next door friend got rejected after medical. After reviewing his case I'm convinced that final decision and thorough inspection of your file happens after medical. The reason is, he was refused because he did not provide full documentation regarding his case history and some docs were missing . If decision is made on your file before medical the embassy could have asked him for missing docs in the first place. After providing full documentation he was refused again on other grounds. I believe they issue medical to those who fit to their checklist of docs and after medical they give it a thorough look. It is all a conjecture on my part but that's how I think. Btw, my friend had no issues with medical etc

i see. its kinda strange and to some extent does not make sense to me. but again' as you said its "mystery".

I just shared a real life example of someone who was refused after medical. So answer to the above question is, no one is really sure but getting a medical call is a positive sign.

A coincidence, I got medical call on 16th oct too. every one I talked to in this forum, and away from this forum, said that the chances are high. after medical. Gerry fedex worker said, medical is the last stage for getting visa. but there are some college student in this forum who are waiting for visa for so long after getting medical call. I hope this doesn't happen with university students.

as per my knowledge if ur stay will be longer than 6 months u need to undergo a medical examination...so i think yes....n if u applying under spp u ll go for it before submitting it to visa office...in general it may be done afterwards...

I thnk Getting Visa early truly depend on our luck and nothing else...........CHC simply dnt care of our time.....and i thnk they did not have a proper Procedure r there staff is not trained r inexperience..

yea right' mostly CHC does not care about our timings. They do take their time for sure.

I had to miss one intake as I had not received ANY response from the CHC even after the classes had started :P I received my medical call on June 1st , 2011 whereas I applied for the visa on March 25th. and then had to wait a month n 2 weeks to get the visa stamped!

but I have some friends who got their visas in some 2 months time which is insanely fast with regard to CHC ISB. avg processing timings.
