They will check your updated documents and your reason for not going to the same session again. If Everythingis ok and consistent. They may even refund your application fees as well . They may cancel your study permit if they figure out some inconsistency in your updated documents. In short, yes, your previous study permit can be cancelled.

You will have to do two things in this case:
1. Send a request and get a formal letter from your college showing that you will be studying in the next batch. This is also commonly knows as deferral letter.
2. Resubmit your visa application with that deferral letter (no need to submit all previous education or financial documents).
3. Visa Office will check whether your current visa will be good for that period (say in case of only few months delay) or do you need a new visa with the new dates in your new offer letter (deferral letter).
4. In case your already issued visa will do good, CHC will refund the money otherwise will return your passport with a fresh visa on which you can travel for your deferred studies.

As far as I know, and after talking to a few consultants, the probability of rejection on the extension of study visa due to late arrival of passport is almost nil.

Please don't worry and go ahead with your application.

I believe the first time you had deferred, the deferral was for personal reasons. This time, the deferral (second) is because the visa is not issued by CHC in time.

In case you didn't noticed, the second time deferral fault lies on CHC shoulder. If you write a letter along with the deferral letter the circumstances for first and second deferral (due to lat issues of visa along with submission timelines), I don't think there should be an issue.

Trust in God, when he helped you throughout your life (and to get the visa last time), he will not leave you for your next visa :)

Good luck and resubmit (if required) without any fear.

nope all will be fine.. no need to worry.. once issued it wont be cancelled... same was the case with me..

once issued with whatever the expiry date.. it stands valid. if u are going to same program and same college. if u change ur program u need to inform immigration authorities.. no updated financials needed whatsoever.

if u need more info just PM me

GS Stud, umair 81 and piratesparade- I got my visa in NOV 2010 and was supposed to join humber for Jan 2011 session but due to some crisis backhome i did not n got my fee refunded.I was suffering from tuberculosis in the past and therefore my passport got a stamp by canadian embassy saying medically prescreened till may18 2011 that means if i cross this date then i hav to reappply for visa which is otherwise valid till nov 2012. Now things are fine but humber is saying that i can only apply for sept intake which is still fine
Problem is- many consultants are telling me that if i travel on this visa for the sept 2011 intake and try to reach canada before 18th may 2011 95% chances are there that they would not allow me to enter canada and deport me as i got my visa on the basis of jan 2011 session.Others are telling me that enetering canada before 18th may 2011 for sept 2011 is too early and they might deport me.Now i dont want to go thru the medical tests and all formalities again and really want to study in canada.
Please give me ur expert advice asap.

piratesparade- sorry bro I am asking my problem in your post
umair81- sorry bro if i am bothering u too much with my questions its just that i am confused and still looking for a direction n time is flying for me.

You are still stuck between a rock and a hard place. Let's wrap it up directly from the horse's mouth. i.e Canadian high commission. If you had not been medically prescreened till may 18 it would have been a different story altogether. Once you are deported, you can't apply anywhere.

I believe there is no other way then reapplying for a fresh Visa. Entry 4 months before the start of a session is not possible or easy (at the least).

You do not need to go through all the formalities again. All you need is to write a letter, go for medical again (if required) and add the deferral letter.

I don't think CHC will have any issue in issuing you a fresh visa for Sep intake.

Hi Umair,

Suppose, If I get the visa based on my offer letter and later when I reach Canada my semester is already being delayed. Can I switch to next semester so that I do not attend the semester for which i have missed some classes? What steps I have to take at that time? Do you have any experience or any knowledge?

Regards,

Ali
