Rejecting ITA - what happens?

Hi again

Quick question. I'm ready to submit my EE application. The only thing I don't have yet is the minimum funds. I expect to have this in a couple of months but if I were to receive ITA before then (which I likely would as I'm on 465 points) I would need to reject the ITA. What would happen if I did this? Would I remain in the Pool until the next ITA? And could I keep rejecting until I had enough funds or would this count against me?

Thanks

You can reject it if you are sure that you will miss 60 days timeline. After receiving ITA you still have 60 days for submitting required documents. Also, if you reject ITA it won't go against you and you will be put back to the 'pool' for the next draw.

You have 60 days after you receive an ITA, so technically from now you have about 3 months to arrange your funds. So you probably won't need to reject an ITA!

I thought they asked for a 6 month Statement ! ?

So , if he has $12k at the time of filling the profile, he's good ?

I would think if the requirement appears in the last statement, that would be enough, because they expect you to put it all into a bank draft and come to Canada, that's what they have been asking.

They want 6 months of history to make sure people don't borrow money for immigration purposes.

You don't need to have $12k for 6 months, just at the time of ITA application. However, you need to prove that these funds were not from a loan (hence the statements). It is unclear whether CIC will ask for statements or not. The CIC website seems to suggest that at ITA you only need to supply a bank letter confirming the balance and also confirming the average balance for 6 months. Although CIC can request additional docs so they can ask for bank statements.

Thanks Jaxon, unfortunately I'm factoring in the 60 days already! So on 18 May, I'll be able to apply because I'll have sufficient funds by 21 July. I know I'll probably miss a draw or two until then. Just wondering if there's any benefit to applying now and rejecting or am I just as well waiting until I'm within that 60 day window to achieving funds.

In that case I guess you should reject the ITA. And you should also remove your profile from the pool until you think you're ready. You should qualify in the next draw or in the one after, just that you'll be waiting until that happens!

If it is just because of your PCC, you can still go ahead. Under following conditions:
1. you have to give proof that you have asked for your PCC as soon as possible.
2. you have to give some proof that you did effort in order to receive your PCC in time, but it is still delayed on Australia side.
3. You have to explain all that in LOE and the moment you get your PCC you have to raise CSE in order to add that document to your application.

Don't you feel it's just a better idea to get a fresh ITA - Compete documentation - And submit the file.
If i reject the ITA today .. And if that means i'm in the pool again today itself .. There is a draw tomorrow/day after likely .. Last draw score was 459 .. My score according to my lsat ITA is 481 .. So i stand a fair chance of getting a fresh ITA ..

Just discussing, generally.

That is up to you to estimate probability of getting next ITA.
