I married my spouse in 2013.... i applied about a year later to sponsor him . I ran away to india from Canada to marry my husband but my family had gotten us engaged in the first place then wanted to call it off. September of 2016 we had an interview .... it lasted about 2 hours .... the interviewer kept saying I dont understand how you can marry someone without your parents. My husband got 2 answers wrong and she rejected us . I went back to my lawyer to ask about appeal he said it wasnt worth it that I should reapply. its been 10 months since the interview I dont know what to do I am late because I had gotten sick... can someone please help me I don't know what to do

My husband and I refused. The VO didnt believe he loved me. Plus age, religion and culture differences. Anyhow. Our app was originally.Oct. 2014. Refused in 20 minute interview. May 21,2015. Appealed June 2015. B/C I'm in Saskatchewan it was about 2 yrs to wait for what was supposed to be a full day hearing. But we got offered a morning slot, 3 hours. We won in two hours. Now husband's app in ottawa. They just ask for updated forms, medical and pcc.
Anyhow, we weighed the option of reapplying vs appeal. My parents could not come. If they could have they would.

You only have 30 days to file a Notice of Appeal after you get your refusal letter. Since 10 months have already elapsed, your only recourse is to re-apply.
