I am the Spouse of a main applicant, i have applied asylum in the US and denied. But i have submitted my FBI and State and City clearence, i have clean record. we both have enough points, i have decleared my asylum case at the interview. i told the officer why i applied saylum, what are the threats that i had.
after five years, medicals done, landing fee paid, funds shown, denied our application because i applied for asylum in the US.

Please give us a feedback. Thank you!

How you know they refused you because you told them about Asylum in USA? did you receive a refusal letter which stating this?

Applying Asylum is not a crime, there should be a reason of refusal. If you already received a letter, if not then wait for letter.

Yes i received a refusal letter stating that the asylum case information differs to what i said at the interview. This is not so, I told exactly what happened as in the asylum case. This interview was 2 years ago. If this was the case why didnt they refuse at the interview? At that time they asked for police reports etc which were all cleared. Why did they stay for 2 years to tell me about the refusal? And i'm not the priciple applicant.

Lenkact,
I know a little about this and I would like to give you a feedback if you give me more info. What interview are you talking about, when was the interview (give me a timeline), maybe you could give some details, like when did you apply for asylum in US, was it rejected?
Thanks, Robert

What happened after denial of your asylum case? Were you ordered to leave the U.S.? It's very unlikely that your refusal is based on the fact that you filed asylum in the U.S. and got rejected.

Dear PMM and Robfis,

I applied Jan 2006,and i was the main applicant then they called for an interview 2007, that day officer said i dont have enough qualification but your spouse does, then same day we change the main applicant to my spouse. and ask to do the IELTS again and did with the score 7.5.

In the background form i did not include the Asylum case because but the in the again my spouse had interview in there she declared she applied asylum in the US and denied, and got deported. she had told everything as it is. this was 2008 interview.

then officer satisfied with the facts because officer requested the asylum case documents from the US courts, which indicate the same story. and also it has nothing to do with canada PR application. my wifes FBI,State and city clearence also given. all reports good.

and asked both of us to do medicals and asked us to pay landing fees, asked to show funds and local police clearence. and they have charged twice application fees for the applicant changed.

final request was the State clearence that also given in 2010. Now they have sent us a letter saying story is differ than statement amde by my spouse at the interview. she applied asylum 1996 Jan, how someone can tell somthing ha had told in the US courts 12 years ago!!!!and also she has told exactly what happend, that doesnt mean you can compare that with another!!!! and she is the one who requested that document and gave it to the Embassy. I dont know !!!

Did the Canadian officer ask your wife to tell the reason she requested asylum in the US? I mean, did she have to tell the story she wrote on the asylum application? How did it come up, as far as I know that is not relevant for federal worker applications.
Please be more coherent in explaining what happened.
