Dear all, I am so sad that I just received the rejection on my wife application of visa to Canada.
The major reasons are: travel history, current employment situation and personal assets and financial status.
I am a Hong Kong Citizen and my wife is from China and we just married one year.
We are planning to visit my friend in Canada in December this year and I am so depressed on why the IMM department reject my application.
She travelled to South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and all visa is successfully applied. She has a stable work in China as well with the bank asset over RMB 60k. I am not sure this amount is not significant that's why I have also hand in my asset for their carefully review. Together with my friend invitation letter. However, they seem ignore all evidence and just simply reject my wife application.
Anyone can give me a help? I am considering to apply the visa through the travel agent in China but I think the chance is not much as well.

Thanks all first.

When you have a spouse who is Canadian, it's typically more difficult to get a visitor visa approval since CIC often has concerns you have plans on remaining in Canada long term.

How long a trip did you request? What evidence did she submit of her job in China? Does she have any property in China and did you include evidence of this in the application? What evidence did you submit for the bank assets?

For travel, CIC typically likes to see visits to countries such as the UK, US, etc. So unfortunately the traveling she has done probably doesn't help her profile too much.

Thanks for your reply.
I feel strange and disappointed to Canada government as all other supporting they don't view as a whole as the trip I am going with my wife together and I can fully support her living in Canada too. I worked in a professional firm and my asset are all in HK as well and as their request I submit together but I guess they don't see it even.
I just applied two week in Canada and I also attached my friend invitation letter as well as he is a Canada citizen too.

Anyway after this application I have no longer interest to come to Canada for my holiday. That's all.
