Hello there,

I have got my provincial nominee certificate recently. I am going to apply for PR with it, but my passport was damaged recently.

If I apply to renew my passport now, I am not sure how long it will take. Besides, the passport number on my visa and work permit are all old. I don't know how to clearify that when I get my new passport.

So I was wondering if I can submit my PR application first and then apply for a new passport. If I can do that, when should I do that? Is it OK that I renew my passport before I get my AOR? And how can I inform CIC about this?

Thanks,
Kai

Please kindly reply if you have any ideas?

Thanks.

Is there anything you can do with your passport? When you say it´s damaged, how much damaged? Is it too damaged to take at least photocopy of the main page with your personal information?? I think that would be good enough....

Thanks 87arq, I have a photocopy of it when it was not damaged. Is it OK that I submit my PR application first, then change my passport? How can I inform them about this change?

It was not damaged very much. Some letters are not clear, but you can still see it. I have a photocopy of it when it was not damaged.
