I am trying to determine if my fiance is admissable into Canada or if we need to fill out the Rehabilition form. According to the instructions, if his crime/sentence was completed at least 10 years ago, he would be deemed rehabilitated. He was convicted/sentenced in 1985. He has not been convicted of any other indictable offence since then.
In 2002 he attempted to travel to Canada, but had to pay $250 for a temporary visit and was told by the border guard that he must fill out this form. We have been having a difficult time getting all the documents necessary because the offense occured over 20 years ago.
How can we be sure he won't have any trouble entering Canada on our next visit?
