Hi.

Anyone already did the exit at Regway SK? I got the Confirmation of PR and I'd like to know what documents to bring and possible questions and how did you do it.

By the way, don't have US Visa. Would there be problem?

Please let me know your experience.

Thanks.

to land as a pr, all you need is your COPR and passport. if you are declaring items at landing or will be later on, then you will want to fill out the BSF186 declaration form.

when you drive up to the us border, you tell them you want to "flagpole" so you can land as a pr in canada. no visa is required. technically you will not be entering the us. they will give you an "Administrative refusal" letter, and send you back to canada. this will have no impact on future us visas/entries.

landing is a very simple process. depending on how long of a wait you have, the process itself is about 15 min.

Thanks you so much!

I will do it tomorrow. By the way, what do you mean by declaring something?

Regards,
if you have household or personal items that you are bringing into canada at landing or after, then you need to fill out a form so they know what you are bringing and you need to "declare" their value. as a settling PR, declaring them on the BSF186 form will waive you from paying duty on the list. Otherwise, when you bring items into canada, you are subject to paying duty (ie: taxes) on their value.
