Regulated occupation

Dear Friends

I am new immigrant to Newfoundland and Labrador province. My job roles falls under combination of roles under NOCs 2171,2172,2173.
The NOC 2173 is regulated in Newfoundland, while 2171 is not.

What exactly regulated mean and what actions/certifications needs to be done? I have WES evaluation report which is Canadian Masters equivalency computer science.

Would WES alone suffice? or do I have to do anything else.

Certification is required if part of the job description. If not, then you don’t need it.

May I know what type of certification is needed and from where to obtain?

Look up the NOC on the EDSC database to see what licensing if any is required. Again it is the employer that may want the licensing since 2173 is an engineering NOC so that may require a P.Eng designation.
