hi all,

My husband Jamal is under the impression that we need to register our daughter Yasmine in Morocco first before he is granted his visa, that is if our appeal hearing is positive. I am scheduled to appear July 15th, 2009.

Does anyone know this information??? I did submit an email to cic Rabat to advise of my pregnancy and they know about it since they asked him about it at his interview. But i do not know if we need to register her first before he gets his visa. My problem is that i do not have my original birth certificate, only a certified copy, which was the same that we used to show autorities there. He is telling me that he needs the original one to register Yasmine in the book. I will not have my original birth certificate anytime soon since that would require me to travel back to Venezuela to obtain it and i do not plan on travelling for now with the little one so small.

if anyone has any insight into this it would help. thanks

other than that..we are ok..given this long distance relationship has been a bit hard with the fact that being pregnant i couldn't travel back to see him. Also i do not want to travel with Yasmine so small. I want her to have all her needles before i go anywhere..so maybe by JAN 2010??? also i would have to find the money to go down and see all my extened family there...it would be for three tickets now, not just for me and my first daughter...so it can get a little costly with not working too...

Have a wonderful day all and remember to keep being patient ...as all good things come to those who wait.

If you are applying to sponsor your husband and you have a new baby since you applied, you would want to tell the embassy about it so they know to add it to the family info. If you are PR and the baby is not born in Canada, you have to add the baby to the file and sponsor it for PR as well. If you are a citizen and the baby is not born in Canada, you need to go to the embassy and apply for the baby's citizenship certificate and temporary passport.

I am a Canadian citizen since 1981.Yasmine was born in Canada. I did apply to sponsor my husband. Rabat is aware of the pregnancy i sent them a copy of our positive results as soon as i knew about it. I have not let them know that she is born already i plan on doing that at the appeal hearing we have in July.
I will be doing her Canadian passport as soon as i receive her birth certificate and SIN i have applied for them already. I have her health card to provide immigration of her existance and that she is his child.
The only thing is that Jamal tells me that he also has to register her birth in Morocco too, even though she was born here. Apparently, even though Yasmine was born in Canada she is also a citizen of Morocco by default by her father being from there too..

this is why i need to understand if we need her to be registered there before his visa is given..i have tried reading up on this and can't find info anywhere...i will attempt to contact the embassy to see what they say.

No you dont. You can register her birth in his country later after he is given his visa.Just make sure the embassy knows of her birth and you might want to do it ASAP as they say you must inform them of any changes like such.
Once he gets his visa and has landed you can register her birth in his country.
