Regarding work permit and covid19

Hello friends,

I hold a work permit (joining date was on March 2020) currently for an year, however due to covid19, my employer in Canada extended my joining date on May 2020, where I lost 2 months of my work permit (which ends on Feb 2021). Is there any that I can extend work permit for current period till April, since my joining date now is May 2020.

We don't know. IRCC hasn't issued any guidance on this yet.

You can also extend when you get to Canada.

Is there a possibility of getting a PGWP extension due to the current situation? I have a job offer which has been put on hold due to this situation and I'm losing time on my PGWP.

Nothing has been said about an extension. If you only do a 1 year course there is always a risk that you won’t work for a full year. This was an issue even before covid. We’ll have to wait and see.
