As most people are aware the visa fee for Study Permit is $150.

I'm just unsure as to how to pay this. I've heard a draft is required but is it a draft in foreign currency?
or an Indian draft valued at $150?

Any info on the matter is appreciated. Also what details should go on the draft? Such as payable at and name?

If you are applying online, you will pay by card when submitting your application. As for paper-based application, I remember that my friend has paid all fees including for courier service at VAC. Not sure if the same practice is observed in India.

if online- credit card
if paper based - pay in cash at VAC (or VFS, whatever you like to call it) (i paid few hundred less than rs. 10,000)

Thx Amir and Meagan.

Good info.

Can you check with your documents regarding notarisation too please.

According to the website:

Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.

Does it need to be like the above format when attesting photocopies?

Also do all docs need to be attested? Such as bank statements?

I was also worried about that but decide to ignore this.

notary already does most of these things, just ask him/her to include "true copy" stamp for photocopies and "red embassy stamp" (feels safe to have it).

if it is a translated document then it need "true translation" stamp instead of "true copy" (this is common sense but errors can always happen)

name of the document is not required (i didn't mention) because name is already written on the documents. if document is translated then make sure that name is written on it.

no bank statements are to be submitted in original with bank stamp and sign on each page
