Regarding US visa

Hello,
I want information regarding US visitor visa.
My TRV on passport got expired when my first program(PG) in Canada got completed. Then i took other PG program for 1year and i extended my study permit.
Now i want to apply for a USA visitor visa. Please confirm me should i have to apply for a new TRV or my study permit is sufficient for a interview?

Which document i have to carry when my interview will be scheduled. Should i carry my last program

Not with expired TRV you can go to USA but cannot enter canada. So it's better to get a TRV Renewal application, after you get your USA Tourist visa, i.e. before leaving Canada apply for renewal. It takes time so plan ahead and it costs 100$

I think you need Canadian Visa first because otherwise how will you re-enter in Canada from USA?

My husband and I had the same problem when we applied for US visa recently. Our TRVs were expired since we renewed the study permits in Jan 2018. Anyway, we were issued US visa without any issue. Moreover, you do not need TRV if you travel only to USA and then return to Canada.

My husband and I had the same problem when we applied for US visa recently. Our TRVs were expired since we renewed the study permits in Jan 2018. Anyway, we were issued US visa without any issue. Moreover, you do not need TRV if you travel only to USA and then return to Canada.
