Hi,

I wonder if a written authorization (exemption letter) is still needed after taking new vaccine after Nov 30. According to the news:

Also effective November 30, 2021, Canada will expand the list of COVID-19 vaccines that travellers can receive to be considered fully vaccinated for the purpose of travel to Canada. The list will include Sinopharm, Sinovac and COVAXIN, matching the World Health Organization Emergency Use Listing.

it looks like travellers with these three new vaccinations done do not need the exemption letter anymore, am I correct?

I'm with worker permit. My parents in China already got their visitor visa approved, but their exemption request was rejected. They have already taken one of the newly approved vaccines, it looks like they will be able to enter Canada without that letter after 11/30, am I right?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they should be able to travel. Would suggest the get an mRNA booster since Sinopharm and Sinovac don’t have as good of a protection as Pfizer and Moderna

Thanks for info but as per there are two type of Sinopharm , so question is how some one verified the administer vaccine (approved one)

like I have administer with Sinopharm but not aware which one (nothing on my vaccine certificate and only written Sinopharm China)
