Hi Guys, I have submitted my express entry profile in September 2021 and I'm waiting for a CEC draw.
In December 2021, I tested positive for syphilis (self test, wasn't immigration related) and I took treatment for it as well. As per the temporary public policy, foreign nationals are exempt from the medical test if
1. have submitted an express entry profile
2. have completed an immigration test in the last five years
3. have not left canada in the past 6 months
This policy is in effect until march 31, 2022. Link for more info: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/public-policy-extended-medical-exam.html
In case I get my ITA before march, it looks like I do not need to get an IME done as I meet all the above requirements. All I need is to give the IME number of the test I took for my study permit in 2019.
Now my question is, how and where do I declare that I was tested +ve for syphilis in december? Do I need to take another IME upfront? I'm confused what to do in this situation. Please help.
