REGARDING RETURNING OF PASSPORT

HI ALL,
I HAVE SENT MY PASSPORT TO LONDON CHC BY DHL. THEY HAD ASKED ME TO ALSO ENCLOSE A SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE WHICH I HAVE DONE.
I READ SOMEWHERE THAT YOU HAVE O PAY FOR THE SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE IN ADVANCE TO THE COURIER COMPANY SO THAT LONDON CHC CAN SEND BACK YOUR PASSPORT. BUT IN THE PPR LETTER THEY HAVE NOT MENTIONED ANY SUCH THING.
CAN SOMEONE SUGGEST ME IS THE PAYMENT REQUIRED TO BE DONE AND IF YES WHAT CAN I DO NOW.
IN PPR LETTER THEY HAVE MENTIONED THAT DUE TO BAD POSTAL SITUATION IN OMAN THE PASSPORT WILL BE RETURNED BY COURIER.
PLEASE DISPENSE YOUR VALUABLE ADVICE. SPECIAL APPEAL TO LONDON APPLICANTS WHO HAVE RECIEVED THEIR STAMPED VISAS FROM LONDON AND OFCOURSE SENIORS.

the rule for the SAEs (SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE) in terms of CHCs are that they have to be paid by the person who is enclosing the envelope.

so, all u have to do is to:

1. go to the post office/ courier service office
2. buy another envelope
3. write ur name & address on that envelope where is the section for the 'receiver'
4. tell the person at the cash desk of the post office/ courier service that u want to pay now for the return/ self addressed envelope so that the sender/ CHC doesn't have to pay anything
5. i would advice u to pay for the super efficient & super premium service so that when in transit ur passport doesn't get lost & also come back to u asap

Hi shibleebd and saurin!

This is just to give u an idea. Mine is a different experience. When I sent my passport thru a courier i asked them about the self-addressed envelope, he doesn't know how it is going to happen. So what I did is I just enclosed the self-addressed enveloped together with the passports. When the CHC London finished stamping the visa they sent it to the Canada embassy in Abu Dhabi, and from there they send it to me thru a local courier which I paid collect when I received it.

Maybe things are different depending on the situation...

i'm about to send our passports to CHC London. if anybody from saudi arabia have sent/received their passports to/from CHC London, your input on this will be highly appreciate
