if there's a sudden lump sum just 1 month prior to applying and it came as a gift, how will I be able to substantiate where it came from??? a affidavit or any other way??? And even after I substantiate it, I would then have the money only for a month according to my bank statement. Will my application be rejected then???

Even if I submit a gift deed explaining the sudden lump sum amount, the amount will not be in the account for 6 months. Say it is there for only 1 month. In that case will my application be accepted or rejected ???

The above reply was mistaken, you dont need the full amount over 6 months. Just at the end. HOWEVER any sudden changes or large influx of money has to be justified so cic can make sure you didnt borrow it
Can I show 100% POF as a Gift from my parents (CAD 19093 for a family of three)? Should it work?
Apart from the Main Proof of funds(CAD19093) I had deposited approximately CAD 3000 cash in my account. That is my own savings from past.
a) How can I prove it to be mine?
b) Will there be any query raised even if those CAD 3000 are not a part of my POF?
