regarding postage of pr card

thanks for the response, however will they questioning why would i want to apply for travel document to go back to canada since the PR card is already delivered to address in canada? I believe they can somehow to check the system that the card has already issued and delivered..thanks

In our case, we made a short landing, had arranged for PR cards to be delivered at a friend's place, and returned to India. We had our PR cards sent by DHL, no problems... but we did not get daughter's PR card since there was a picture not meeting specs problem. We had the pic retaken and sent and were told the PR card was being issued and we had tickets to return to Canada for good but the PR card was being delayed did not reach the friend's address... so we got ready to get the Tavel Doc, and then we were told right about a week left that the PR card reached. At this point we decided not to risk PR card being sent by courier/ post and we got the travel doc (got it in 2 days!!) and we stated in the app that the PR card was issued but was in transit.

You could have it sent (DHL/ regd post) or get the travel doc. Your call. Both work!

My PR card has been delivered to my friend but I am presently not in Canada. I want to travel to Canada but not sure whether I can apply for PRTD, given PR card has already been delivered to the mentioned address. Please suggest.

I know sending courier is an option but I want to avoid that risk.

Yes, you can apply for a Travel Document to come back to Canada.
