Hello I was wondering how many months of PGWP I can get after studying in Ontario in the following 3 scenarios:

Scenario 1: A 4 semester diploma program.
Scenario 2: A 3 semester Master degree program followed by a 3 semester post-graduate certificate program.
Scenario 3: A 3 semester Post-graduate program followed by a 2 semester post-graduate program.

Thank you!

Hi,

I think you will get 3 years work-permit and that's the maximum time-line CIC can offer.. Seniors please share your thoughts if I am wrong..

I am currently thinking of applying for a 1 year 3 semester postgraduate certificate program and then followed by a 1 year 3 semester masters program, I was wondering how many months will I get for PGWP after I studied these 2 programs consecutively? Really need help on this! Thanks!

In all scenarios, you will get 3 years of work permit .

Three years work permit because your both programs counts as two year study

What if I do 1 year PG program i.e 2 semesters + 1 semester co-op followed by 10.5 months PG certificate.

Will i get 2 years permit or 3 years permit?

So 2 x 1 year courses which could get you a 3 year PGWP OR 1x 1 year course and 1x10.5 month course which given less than 2 years total could get you 22-23 months although you could be lucky and get 3 year even though guidance for a 3 year is 2 years or more education.

Ultimately depends on whether the 10.5 months is actually considered a 1 year course and you can show that .

Not bad so overall means 3-4 years stay in Canada + If that works out, I'd be working towards CPA, So would I be able to get PR?
