Yes, you have to attach previous passport scans to show your travel history.

No need of 'Blank' pages, without ANY TYPE of markings.

If there is even a single marking done by any agency (e.g. PCC stamp on passport), then you must attach this.

Actually @jpv2212 you don't have to submit the old passports. They don't verify travel history from Pakistan. You can freely move within schengen without getting stamped, However your travel history has to reflect your travels.

The passport purpose is:

To confirm the applicant's identity

Document requirements

A clear and legible copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document must be provided.
Individuals who must submit this documentation

The principal applicant
Their spouse or common-law partner
Their accompanying dependent children

They need current and valid passport only, and any other pages with visa, stamps, markings etc.

I was pointing out at the travel history verification from passport stamps, which is not true. The recommendation is : if your current residence visa is in expired passport, you could scan that along with biopage of passport, and the stamp that says, a new passport was issued etc. Other than that, the stamps, other visas, are irrelevant. !!

Like you mentioned I also had a Schengen Visa... So should I write all the countries or places visited other than the country where i actually was staying..But I dont have any stamps for those countries visited as mentioned earlier I had a schengen visa.

Well, Sami, CIC asks for travel history, not the stamps on passports !.. So no matter it is supported by stamps or not, you will have to mention your travel history, as well as address history!!
They categorically say, that even vacations taken shall be mentioned. Instructions are so clear, and there is no room to avoid this. If information sharing or any other things spikes them to probe more, and if misrepresentation is verified, people are booked for 5 years !!

If you read my comments again, I clarified to the person that passport stamps are not related to travel history as he mentioned giving schengen example. Now having said that, you will have to be truthful about everything in your application, and you will be signing this declarations of truthfulness many times !!
