Hello All,

I have a small query.

Below is listed under FSW EE profile requirement.

Skilled work experience
Your work experience must be:

  • in the same type of job as your primary NOC
  • within the last 10 years
The query is,

1. same type of job means, same role, duties designation, NOC etc? Or in Same industry. For example, I have been working in IT industry ever since I started my career, in this period, I worked as data administrator in starting and then progressed to project manager. Both falls under different NOC but belong to same industry i.e. IT. Will this be considered and accepted?

2. Initially I worked for 3 years, then took a break for my post grad, spent a while searching a job after post grad and then again got job and continued. In total work experience is 6 Years but has the mentioned breaks. Will it cause any problem? Also all these jobs are continuous, full time, paid.

Please help me with some clarity. Do I need to right any letter of explanation or something.

I have however mentioned everything in personal history.

Thanks in advance.

"In the same type of job as your primary NOC" - it can't be more clear so what are you asking about?
As to the breaks - no problem as long as it is within the last ten years.

1. Provide reference letter for your workex containing your roles and responsibilities which proves that you have relevant workex for the NOC selected by you.
2. There is no harm in mentioning breaks. In fact you must declare any breaks taken, properly.

If you feel that you need to explain anything to your VO in relation to your work or anything else related to your application, explain that in LOE.

Hello Bobbie,

Thanks for your advise. I actually have two NOC's, 1 2172 (Data Administrator) 2. 0213 (Computer systems manager). Primary NOC being 0213 as majorly I have experience related to this NOC. so was wondering if 2172 will cause any problem while evaluating my points...I hope it would be fine but still wanted to double check...
