Hello friends,
I hope this thread finds you well. I am writing this because of my concern to medical exam for immigration. Right now, I am finishing my two degrees in liberal arts in a Canadian university, and one of the degrees is in English. I expect to finish my degree in 2 years and apply for work permit after my graduation. So far, my grades have been good.
The main concern that I have for the medical exam is my history of psychiatric disorders. Although I have never posed a threat to anyone with my health and completely controlled my conditions with medication (which all of them is by my own expense), I am worried that I will not be able to immigrate to Canada. I have stayed in a psychiatric ward before, but this is a long time ago. My time of applications will be far ahead since I read that I should apply after I am sponsored by an employer for couple years, but I thought I would plan ahead and have knowledge of all the information I need to immigrate. My mental health almost has no trace of any psychiatric disorder and it hasn't affected my studies at all.
For the medical exam- should I answer 'yes' for depression and anxiety? And if so, what should I do next? Is there is something I should watch out for? I know that they'll might to a mental health exam- but I don't know what do expect.
Thank you for all of your answers- and I wish all of you luck and success. Take care!
