Hello guys.. I am international students IN US from India. I got engaged to Girl who holding Canadian PR. So i have question that if I file for PR from US and migrate to canada.. is it takes too long in issuing PR card.. or better to go back to India and after getting merry In India and than go to canada? As per lawyer concern, he said that if I getting registered Marriege in US and file from here... then I have to show all kind of proof like traditional marriege and photos of marriege and videos .. and after looking at all things The Canadian goverment Granted PR Witthin 6 months. So, i ask you guys any one have problem like that or not ? and Also lawyer told that it is better to go India and marry. Withing 3 months I get PR . but problem is also that I dont Want to go India .. I m stuck in between these questions.. So please guys help Me out.. I welcome YOur opinions...

There's no harm in getting married in the US itself. However, u'd require all those proofs anyway to ascertain your claim of being married.
