Regarding Job role description on company documents

Hi all,

I have 7 yrs of experience in software testing, so here's the scenario.
In my first company, all the documents which they gave me doesn't mention my role, instead it only mentions my designation ie Executive- Systems , now comes the worst part, the company has been acquired by another software giant , the management,HR team has changed now so I can't get any letter from them....Wat options am i left with? I am in touch with my former manager who can give me a letter apart from that what else can I submit. And the news of the acquisition is available on the internet.

A letter from former manager with JD could help. I was in a similar state and did the same. Got a letter from former manager on his current company letter head. Add a letter of explanation just in case.
