Regarding GIC in ICICI Bank.

Hello guys,

I have opened up GIC with ICICI bank. I would like to know if I can close my ICICI bank local account in Mumbai after my GIC is issued since I'm not satisfied with their services at all. Will closing the local account once GIC is done have any effect overall ? I have planned to close the local account once GIC is done, because anyways the amount of GIC will be deposited into the ICICI bank canada account . So just to confirm, will closing my local account harm the process?

Yes, you can close it after your payments are in the Canadian a/c and GIC is issued. Closing the local a/c after visa approval is fine
(Corrected : In case of visa refusal payment refund is only done to the same local a/c, so in that eventuality keep it open for few more days).

All you need for Visa : College fee receipt and the Investment Direction (GIC) for proof of funds.

Yes, you can close it after your payments are in the Canadian a/c and GIC is issued. Closing the local a/c will not create any type of issues in your visa process.

No! You can't close your Account, sorry but in case of visa rejection than how will you refund your money bro, I suggest close account after you get visa approval
