Hello everyone, I want to ask if I have paid GIC + 1 semester fees and if I'm showing ITR (Income tax return) of my father, then is it enough to show as proof of funds?

Please advise!

Income tax return is not proof of funds. U need to show his bank statement with good balance. Employment letter, 1 year tuition plus GIC.

Good balance means ?
I have investment papers of around 30 lakhs indian rupees.
I am going to keep these as funds that's available. These are shown as movable assets, but not as a bank balance.
Will that be okay. ?

I am also going to apply next week.
Please help.

I have already paid the first year tuition fee and gic, i will also provide those papaers too.

My father has deposited lum sum amount's into bond's at various wealth management companies, Which can be withdrawn if need arises. But it's not in a bank.
Will that be okay ?
Those bonds do not considered finances available to use. They are part of assests something he has invested for profit.
You need to show his business or work proof as well as his bank statement.

Actually he is retired. Will that be a problem.?
So, he needs to show a good bank balance right?

So what if i a ask him to show a good balance just before applying will that be problem ?

Like depositing an amount just before applying?

Because it's possible for him to take a bond and show it is a bank balance.

Please reply.

Thank you for your help in this issue, am applying through an agency.. they do not have proper answers for my quires and am in a bad situation right now, and that's why i am depending on this fourm. Please help.
And i really appreciate it.

I think if you are applying under SDS and have paid tuition fees and GIC, then you don't need to show any proof of funds.

That's not completely true brother, ITRs do matter, it shows financial capability of your father if he is sponsoring you and if he can made affidavit regarding the same!

I showed my income tax return which shows my incomes from various sources and made a "declaration sur l'honneur" that I would support my daughter as I had done as sole parents for last 7 years, as well as proof we live under the me roof, proof I am employed. There are no hard and fast rules, you should provide proof of income which is liquid, ie can be used to pay for fees and living expenses.
