Dear forum members ,

I am Keerthi from INDIA. I am planning to apply for FSW this year under the NOC 2281.

I have few questions regarding the process:

Regarding application : I am planning on my own without the help any consultant. Is it risky to apply on our own ?

Regarding WES : Do I have to submit my 10th and Intermediate duplicates along with graduation transcripts ? How much time would it take to get the evaluation report if we pay 220$ and 550$ respectively ?

Regarding Work Expereince :Do we have to get the experience letters with the present employer ? Cuz it will be a problem if I inform at my work place. I have all the documents from the previous employer.
All I can provide from the present employer is the offer letter and pay slips.

Regarding NOC Cap : How can we keep a track on the CAP filled for the year 2014?

I need to give my IELTS and also get the ECA done. It will take 1 month for everything to fall in right place before I start filling my application. Do you guys think the quota under my occupation gets filled by that time ??

Kindly answer the queries that I posted above so that I can start the process soon.

Regards,

Keerthi

Hi Keerthi

- There is NO RISK involved in submitting the application on your own. I am new to this process as you and I am submitting it on my own. But you will have to be careful about the documents and review the requirements carefully. Its recommended to consult someone you know personally who has already been through this process. Also - this forum is available for any questions you may have.

- If you are a Graduate : Submit the University transcript in a University provided 'Sealed Envelope' to WES. Alongwith it you submit a COPY of your University Mark Sheets and the University Degree (Not the College Certificate). This costs around $205 Canadian. You will find the info Online.

- You are STRONGLY recommended to get the experience letter of ALL your employers for the past 10 years. If an ex-employer refuses to provide you with such document, try and get the information in an email as to 'why' this cannot be done and attach it in your application. As for your Current Employer; I know it sucks to disclose the information but you will have to do it. Offer Letter and Payslips are considered as 'Supporting Documents' and will help but they will not substitute for an Experience Letter.

- You can track the CAP status here on the CIC website (I am not able to post the URL) but I cannot comment on how frequently the data is updated. I am told the data on the portal is pretty much stale, as in July's data gets updated in August; therefore the real data varies.

- I am in the same boat as you are because I am going to sit for my IELTS in June. Only time can tell you when the CAP fills for 2281. It could be in 2 months, it could be in 4. You can try your luck as this time the type of NOC in Computers are more than the previous year and the number is 1000 instead of 300 in each of those categories. So statistically it should take longer than last year but no one can give you a definite answer.

It all depends on how confident you are, and how much information you know precisely to submit the application without a mistake. we ALL are lucky to be part of this FORUM and many SENIOR members guide us patiently.
Regarding WES : Do I have to submit my 10th and Intermediate duplicates along with graduation transcripts ? How much time would it take to get the evaluation report if we pay 220$ and 550$ respectively ?

present employment documentation is needed, if you want to claim points on it. even though offer/pay stubs are fine, get JOB ROLES letter, that's must.

Filling of the CAP, depends on the number of applicants, on an average all has to spend the same amount of time for completing ECA and IELTS.

GOOD LUCK !

Welcome to the forum and thanks.
0121 Insurance, real estate and financial brokerage managers
1212 Supervisors, finance and insurance office workers

Both clearly have a different titles, so I am assuming their should be differentiation in the roles as well,
so you have to check on the ROLES listed for both the occupations, and compare where you fit in. if you could satisfy at least 70% then you are good to go with that NOC.
