Regarding fee refund

Hey,
I was a student at St clair college for the may2020 intake but the intake was suspended due to coronvirus. So the college deferred me to the next intake and sent me an offer letter for the same. I thought of changing my college as i am no longer interested. The email which they sent me for revoking of program listed the reason as visa rejection as i my visa is still under processing. But, they transferred the fees themselves without me accepting the offer. Now if i ask for refund my case will be considered under other causes of refund which is subject to 2500 dollar deduction while the deduction for visa refusals was only 125 dollars. Can anybody tell me what to do now?

We are on same boat but i have not accepted deferment since you have not requested them you can challenge this

You need to be dealing directly with the college.

Then you should put your thumb into their throat that how can the college do this? You have done nothing wrong sir but it is very crucial to contact college administration so your agent must do it

Your said you are on the boat so your intake was deferred also. Was your fees also transferred like mine?

Mine was the worst senario... SAIT is asking me to continue the one semester without study permit and in case my visa got refuse obviously i wont be able to continue study for rest of semesters and paying such a high amount for one semester without any logic does not make sense....and i have paid for whole year fees in advance. My visa is already in embassy waiting for decision.. i asked college to defer but as per them the next intake is full.. now if ask for refund they gonna deduct 1750... dollars which is a huge amount directly.. without our mistakes.... along with that they are saying that there is no clear instructions from ircc that we are eligible for post study permit in case we join online classes from our home country... this is unfair to international students now.... kindly provide the suggestions... as now the only option is to bear the loss .... i am helpless trapped situation... cant step ahead nor back.... i am stuck and just waiting for more losses

Brother you need to talk to your agent if you are working with one .

I applied it online by myself as this is program comes under competitive category... one needs to clear there interview round which is held in written... the agents are providing easy options but SAIT is having its reputation so i wanted to study here rather than another commissioned colleges of agents and consultants...

Bro i also a student stuck like you so i cannot tell you anything regarding that. You need to seek experts advice from someone.I am also doing the same.

I guess college is the best source to gain information... despite of several emails.. i now have only pathway to decrease the losses...
(A) wait for the visa decision untill 1 week prior of classes and if not
(B) Take the deferment and get into waitlisting category
(C).. And later wait for the visa refusal letter for the refund with least loss...
I hope i found much better options in upcoming days...
Visa is the major concern.... just waiting for there decision
