Dear all I have my brother in Canada, and due to some disputes in my family, my family has given me a legal notice that I am not cosidered as a family member of them anymore. I will myself be responsible for my deeds. Now me and my wife are going to apply for a skilled visa for canada and my wife is the principal applicant and shall I have to mention the details of my family in Canada as I am no more concerned with them. I am living on my own. So if the embassy people will search their database and come to know that my one brother is already in Canada so will this thing going to create any problem in my case.

they will not contact anyone in your family most likely... but, you should still mention your brother in your application.
write a letter explaing the situation. and be prepared to prepare your file without using 5 points of your brother in adaptability.
in the final applicatio, you may even send a notarized copy of the legal statement issued to you

thank for your reply.. but if i mention my brother in application then they will need the proof of them in first stage in sydeny...can i send my legal notic with my application or not.. or even i can give later to the embassy.

they dont need the proof of anything at first stage in sydney. at sydney, they only check if you qualify for FSW according to the ministerial instructions. send your legal notice with your full application to your local visa office once you have received a go-ahead from sydney.deep117 said:

CIO do not see your points calculation, they only check whether your occupation is in 38 or not. Moreover your family situation shall not bother them unless a point to give you 5 points for your brother.
