Regarding Express Entry

Hello,

I am interested to apply for Canada PR thru newly launched Canadian Express Entry Format.

Continuing the same, I have registered for IELTS and the date is of next month i.e. 27th June, 2015

My academic contains
1) Diploma Electrical Engineering (3 Years) - Completed in 2004
2) BCA (Bachelors of Computer Application) (2 Years) - Completed in 2014

Now, prior to submit my EE Profile on jobbank.gc.ca, I would like to evaluate my academics thru WES. So, would like to know how to approach WES to get certify my credentials. Although I passed Diploma in Electrical Engineering, I am working in IT (Information Technology) domain since 9+ years (full time) and having expertise in below listed domains.

1) Red Hat Linux
2) VMWare
3) Cisco
4) Storage and Data Center Technology

Question: Is Distance Learning Education is valid in Canada Immigration? and what will be the points given by WES?

How much fund I need to show during applying thru canada immigration?

Just go on their website wes.ca and apply online for your evaluation, there you will also see what kind of documents you need and what is equivalent degree in Canada.

For single applicant you will need around 13000 cad.

Do you think you will score 67 points for FSW program? Maybe first check score calculator to see if you will be eligible, cause Wes will cost you around 300$ plus ielts.

I have applied Canada FSW in the year 2010, but got rejection due to lack of my knowledge at that time. The negative markings are as given below. (All points are mentioned in Canadian High Commission Letter). In addition to this, I didn't submitted ECA (thru WES) earlier and canada immigration people considered 1 Year of education only. I have complete 3 Year Diploma and 2 Year Graduation.

Total Score given by Government of Canada = 58

Education: 15
Age:10
Official Language Proficiency: 8
Experience: 21
Arranged Employment: 0
Adaptability: 4 (Spouse Education)

Other Negative Points:
* Insufficient evidence provided to determine "Proof of relationship in Canada"
(My brother in Law is a canadian citizen and I have submitted all required docs, which includes His Residential Status, Last 6 month bank statement, PR Card and Company in which he is working.)

* Insufficient proof of funds...
(I have shown 10 Lakh Rupees...!!!)

Both above judgement are wrongly evaluated by canadian embassy, for which I have sent all docs to local CHC, Delhi. But, as usual I didn't get any response.

I did Bachelor Of Computer Application (BCA) from MKU (Madurai Kamraj University) and I am planning to forward my documents to WES this month, but some of my friends told that Distance Education will not get any points, Is it True?

I do not have any information regarding distance education, but you can send an email to Wes and ask them, it will take at least few days till they will response, but at least you will know what to expect.

For required funds you will need to check on CIC page, for one applicant it's around 13000$ cad but it's more if your wife or kids will go with you.

Mostly your graduation will be treated as equivalent to bachelors in India. It is important that you qualify for FSW to get an entry into EE.
